Hornet Flight | Ken Follett | Kharidobechobooks

Hornet Flight is a fast-paced historical thriller set in June 1941 against the backdrop of the Nazi occupation of Denmark.
• The Premise: The war is going terribly for England; the German Luftwaffe is anticipating the Royal Air Force's flight paths and shooting down British bombers with terrifying precision. The British military desperately needs to discover how the Germans are tracking their planes.
• The Discovery: On the occupied Danish island of Sande, an eighteen-year-old student named Harald Olufsen accidentally stumbles upon a top-secret German military installation—a revolutionary radar system known as the Freya-Gerät.
• The Mission: Realising the immense value of this information, Harald joins forces with a network of MI6 spies. With the Danish police cooperating with the Gestapo to hunt down subversives, Harald and his resourcefully brave friend, Karen, are left with only one desperate choice to get the information across the North Sea to England: a near-derelict, rusted Hornet Moth biplane hidden away in a ruined church.
