English Poetry
“So I choose to write things simply. Sketching the first words that come to my mind on the last page of a notebook dotted with your name.” ‘Keep It Simple Silly’
Love brings with it an array of emotions. Love is somehow passionate and vulnerable, heartbreaking and tender, ataraxic to downright miserable, all-consuming and even arbitrary at the same time. In essence, it is just about the most beautiful blend of emotions, each so deeply intertwined with the other, that it is impossible to discern or describe. Yet, for as long as literature has existed, we have attempted to put into words, express and understand the tangle of emotions that love encompasses. Even centuries later, every new soul seems to have a different story to tell, a new experience to illustrate, and perhaps there lies the answer to how this book came into being.
Simply, a collection of a teenage girl’s musings on what she imagines love to be.
About the Author
I am a seventeen-year-old girl with a penchant for all things creative. From a very young age, I have dabbled in the various activities that fall under the umbrella of art and seem to have found my passion in the power and joy of writing. Fascinated by the complexities of both, language and the world we live in, I would describe myself as a writer with a love for humanities, attempting to portray the kaleidoscope of human emotions through my work. Currently attending Sanskriti School, New Delhi. I am a student of Grade 12. I intend on pursuing my passion, psychology for further studies.
